Seeks to increase the number of American Catholics who embrace the Church’s death-penalty teaching and, with that teaching as their basis, work for the end of all state capital punishment laws. Offers many faith-based educational resources.

Equal Justice USA
A grassroots organization working to build a criminal justice system that is fair, effective, and responsive to everyone impacted by crime. The injustice of death penalty is one of their principal focuses.

National Coalition To Abolish The Death Penalty
The National Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty is the nation’s oldest organization dedicated exclusively to the abolition of the death penalty. It leads a national movement against the death penalty fueled by a broad-based national constituency and more than 100 Affiliate organizations. Offers many ways to get involved, including education and action.

People of Faith Against the Death Penalty
A national coalition, including Jewish, Protestant, and Catholic organizations, that opposes the death penalty on the basis of religious conviction. Offers national and local ways to join their work.

Students against the Death Penalty (SADP)
An all-volunteer, grassroots organization engaged in various educational and outreach projects with the conviction significant death penalty reform in United States is a viable goal if the public is educated on the death penalty system and is encouraged to contact their elected representatives to urge passage of moratorium legislation. Encourages student activism against the death penalty.

World Coalition Against the Death Penalty
The World Coalition Against the Death Penalty is an alliance of NGOs, bar associations, local bodies, and unions whose aim is to strengthen the international dimension of the struggle against capital punishment. Wherever the death penalty is in force, it contributes to reducing and, better still, definitively abolishing death sentences and executions.
