Saah Agyemang-Badu is a Ghanaian researcher, human rights educator, and community dialogue practitioner dedicated to advancing justice-centered and culturally grounded approaches to education. My work spans curriculum development, policy advocacy, and participatory dialogue, with partnerships including Human Rights Education Associates (HREA), the Care for Special Persons Foundation in Pakistan, and the Dodd Center for Human Rights. As a current Kirby Edmonds Summer Fellow with HRE USA, I’ve contributed to the Training as Action Series and bring a strong foundation in both theory and practice, particularly in bridging global human rights frameworks with local lived realities. As a current Kirby Edmonds Summer Fellow with HRE USA, I’ve witnessed firsthand the organization’s unique capacity to bridge theory, practice, and grassroots leadership. I’m seeking to join the Steering Committee to help expand this work, particularly by uplifting youth-driven models, African epistemologies, and cross-movement solidarity. I believe HRE USA plays a critical role in building collective power through education, and I’m eager to contribute to its strategic direction and deepen its impact in this moment of global urgency and opportunity.
