David L. Brunsma is Professor of Sociology at Virginia Tech. His areas of interest include human rights, racial identity, and race and ethnicity. He is founding co-editor of Sociology of Race and Ethnicity, Executive Officer of the Southern Sociological Society, and a Council Member of the American Sociological Association section on Human Rights.
